Redbank/Allegheny “Bike & Float to the Moon” Weekender

Cost:$125 per person includes transport from Ford City to Brookville, two days of luggage transport and a 2-mile tube float. Please book your lodging accommodations directly with Hunter’s Moon Bed & Breakfast.
Meet the shuttle transport only 40 miles north of Pittsburgh and pedal through 3 counties on the picturesque Redbank Creek and Armstrong Trails. Take in the history and heritage of the old railroad system including the iconic Climax Tunnel while experiencing the breathtaking vistas of the Redbank Creek and Upper Allegheny River valleys.
Day 1
– Transport from Ford City to Brookville, Brookville to Climax – 24 miles, 2-mile lazy tube float on the Redbank Creek, Creekside Bed & Breakfast Lodging at Hunter’s Moon. Luggage will be waiting for you at B & B.Day 2 – Climax to Ford City – 40 miles. Luggage will be waiting for you back at your car in Ford City.

Be captivated by the beauty of Buttermilk Falls, one of Armstrong County’s most epic points of interest. Then enjoy a leisurely 11 mile rail trail bike along the Cowanshannock Creek and Allegheny Rivers. Stop in Kittanning or Ford City, and enjoy lunch at one of the many local eateries along the way before returning to your car in Rosston.
